G-BOND is a self-etching light-cured dental adhesive designed exclusively for dental professionals. It ensures optimal performance in all recommended applications. The product is ideal for bonding light-cured composites, acid-modified composites (compomers), and dual-cured luting or core build-up composites to tooth structures. It must be used only if the composites undergo light curing. Proper use guarantees excellent adhesion and long-lasting results in dental treatments.
This adhesive has specific contraindications to ensure patient safety. It should not be used for direct pulp capping. Additionally, patients allergic to certain monomers or acetone should avoid this product. Combining G-BOND with chemically cured resins, eugenol-containing materials, or desensitizers is not recommended. Adhering to these precautions ensures safe and effective dental procedures. Many dental clinic professionals prefer this product for its reliability and ease of use.

Directions to Use the Dental Adhesive
Cavity Preparation for Dental Adhesive
- Prepare the tooth using standard dental techniques ensuring clean surfaces.
- Protect the working area with a rubber dam to prevent contamination.
- Dry prepared tooth surfaces by gently blowing with an air syringe for best adhesion.
- For patients requiring direct pulp capping, use calcium hydroxide as recommended.
Application Process
- Shake the G-BOND bottle thoroughly before dispensing to ensure even consistency.
- Dispense a few drops into a clean dispensing dish to prevent contamination of the bottle.
- Replace the bottle cap immediately after dispensing to maintain product integrity.
- Apply G-BOND immediately to the prepared enamel and dentin surfaces using the Disposable Applicator II.
- Allow the adhesive to remain undisturbed for 5-10 seconds after application to ensure penetration.
- Dry the area thoroughly for 5 seconds with oil-free air at maximum pressure to eliminate solvent and moisture. Use vacuum suction to control adhesive splatter during this stage.
Additional Notes
- If the G-BOND bottle has been refrigerated for a long time, let it stand at room temperature for a few minutes before use.
- Non-cut enamel surfaces should be treated with a 35-40% phosphoric acid gel, rinsed, and gently dried prior to adhesive application.
- Apply G-BOND promptly as it contains a volatile solvent that evaporates quickly.
- Remove excess adhesive on tooth surfaces not intended for bonding using a sponge or cotton pellet immediately after application. Excess cured material is difficult to remove.
- If contamination with water, blood, or saliva occurs before light curing, wash and dry the tooth surface and repeat the application procedure.
Light Curing
- Use a visible light curing unit to cure the adhesive properly.
- For halogen or LED units with a light intensity of 700 mW/cm², cure for 20 seconds. If the light guide tip is more than 10mm away, curing for 10 seconds is acceptable.
- For high-power LED units exceeding 1200 mW/cm², cure for 10 seconds, or 5 seconds if the tip is more than 10mm away.
- Wear appropriate protective light shields or eyewear during the curing process to avoid eye damage.
Placement of Composites
- After curing the adhesive, follow the composite resin manufacturer’s instructions carefully.
- Place, contour, and light cure the composite resin material as directed to achieve optimal restoration.
Finish and Polishing
- Once the adhesive and composite materials are fully cured, adjust the restoration as needed.
- Polish the final restoration using standard dental polishing techniques for a smooth and esthetic finish.
G-BOND remains an essential choice among dental professionals, ensuring excellent bonding results in various dental treatments including dental implants and veneers application.
