Direction To Use:
Preparation:
- Before starting, ensure you have OptraDam Plus, a dental clamp, or frame ready for use.
Perforate OptraDam Plus:
- Create an opening or perforation in OptraDam Plus if needed for attachment to the dental clamp or frame.
Left-Hand Grasp:
- Hold OptraDam Plus from the back with your left hand to have it ready for placement.
Right-Hand Reach:
- Use your right hand to reach through the outer ring of OptraDam Plus.
Inner Ring Grip:
- While reaching through the outer ring, grasp the inner ring but do not pull it out completely. Compress the inner ring gently to create wings on both sides. These wings will help secure the device in place.
Right Corner Placement:
- Begin by placing OptraDam Plus in the right corner of the patient's mouth.
Left Corner Placement:
- Move OptraDam Plus to the left corner of the patient's mouth, ensuring it fits comfortably.
Lower Vestibular Placement:
- Adjust the position of OptraDam Plus in the lower vestibular region, which is the space between the lips and gums in the lower jaw.
Upper Vestibular Placement:
- Similarly, position OptraDam Plus in the upper vestibular region, the area between the lips and gums in the upper jaw.
Patient's Mouth Closure:
- To secure OptraDam Plus in place, ask the patient to gently close their mouth. This helps stabilize the device and ensures proper isolation.
