Direction To Use: 

Preparation:

• Ensure the Star Pen is fully charged or connected to a power source.
• Check that the handpiece and cartridge holder are securely attached.

Loading the Cartridge:

• Select the appropriate local anesthetic cartridge for the procedure.
• Remove the protective cap from the cartridge and insert it into the cartridge holder of the Star Pen.
• Ensure the cartridge is properly aligned and securely attached.

Adjusting the Injection Speed:

• The Star Pen typically offers three adjustable injection speed modes. Choose the appropriate speed for the procedure.
• Use the control buttons or switches on the pen to adjust the injection speed according to your preference.

Locating the Injection Site:

• Identify the target area where the local anesthetic needs to be administered.
• Ensure the area is clean and prepped according to standard protocols.

Administering the Local Anesthetic:

• Hold the Star Pen in a comfortable grip, ensuring a firm and stable hand position.
• Position the needle tip at the desired injection site and apply gentle pressure to initiate the injection.
• Maintain a steady hand and gradually apply the local anesthetic using the desired injection technique (e.g., slow push, incremental injections, etc.).

Monitoring and Adjusting:

• Observe the patient's response and adjust the injection speed or technique if necessary.
• Continuously monitor the patient's comfort level and adjust the injection accordingly.

Post-Injection Care:

• Once the local anesthetic has been administered, carefully remove the needle from the injection site.
• Follow proper disposal procedures for used cartridges and needles.
• Provide post-injection instructions to the patient as needed.
